Carolina.

I didn't know her all that well, but I knew her enough to catch a glimpse of her sweet soul.  Carolina was a dear friend of my cousin, Amy.  She was constantly smiling and had a kind word to say to everybody she encountered.  When she asked about you, she really cared and listened to what you had to say.

Carolina was killed in a car accident by a drunk driver this past week.  She was 19 years old and was attending VCU studying biology; on the path of becoming a doctor.

Life is short. Life is fragile.
As cliche and cheesy as this might seem...we need to live every day as if it's our last.  We have no idea when our time will be up.  That person you're holding a grudge against? RECONCILE. Dying to tell someone something? TELL THEM. Afraid to speak your mind? SPEAK NOW. Daydreaming about your "impossible" dreams? GO OUT AND LIVE YOUR DREAM.

Carolina Perez, you left an astounding legacy here on Earth.
I hope to do the same.

Fearlessly, Kay
