Eh.

I DON'T CARE:

-that my kids are calling the Lorax the "Lore-rat."  They loved the book and have been angels all week.

-that my toenails are a little chipped & could use a re-polish.  That's not going to stop me from slipping on my Rainbows and running out the door.

-that parents just view my classroom as daycare.  I know what their kids are learning. They are in for a big surprise when little Johnny goes home and writes out his full name.  Daycare, what?

-that every single classroom at work seems to be perfectly cool while mine is akin to the Sahara.  Windows can open, and that fresh breeze every so often is heavenly.

-that I will be dead tired on Friday after seeing the midnight showing of The Hunger Games.  Watching District 12 kick butt will be SO worth it.

-that I sounded like a complete nerd just now.

I speak for the trees.

Currently working on some kiddy crafts/lesson plans for this timeless classic right here.  Yes.  I consider The Lorax to be timeless as well as a classic.  I grew up on Dr. Seuss books and I loved this one in particular. ("It Happened on Mulberry Street" was a close second.)

March lesson plans for preschoolers usually tend to revolve around plots of gold, shamrocks and rainbows.
I am proud to say that mine have revolved around Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham and now...The Lorax.

Take that, smug leprechauns.
